Privacy notice
1. Who handles your information
Taro Ishii (sole proprietor), acting as sales agent for 美しいふる里創り研究所, handles information for direct bookings for this experience. This notice does not change the handling of existing domestic products.
2. Information we collect
The main contact’s first and last name, email address and phone number including country code; the experience date, guest numbers, price, payment method and payment status. If needed, we also ask about food allergies, chairs or a low table, and the vehicle model, license plate number and participant name for parking arrangements. Messaging-app details, such as WhatsApp, are optional. Enter card details only on the payment screen; do not email them.
3. Why we use it
We use the information to manage bookings, provide the experience, process payments and refunds, contact you about changes or urgent matters, and answer questions. Vehicle details are used only for parking arrangements. Direct bookings start with cash payment on the experience day; no card payment is collected at booking. We do not use this booking information for promotional emails.
4. Necessary sharing
We use JTB Bókun for booking management. For an ordinary cancellation fee, we plan to use a Stripe payment link sent by email; this is separate from cash payment on the experience day. Do not send card information by email. Guides and reception staff receive only the main contact’s name and guest numbers. Bento providers receive only guest numbers and necessary allergy information. Vehicle details are not put on general guide, reception or bento-provider lists. Taro Ishii uses contact details for booking administration and urgent contact; these details are not added to those general lists.
5. Storage
Booking information is stored through the booking system on servers in the EU (Ireland). Some supporting services may process information in other regions. Paper lists are used on the day, collected afterwards and stored securely under lock. We retain information only as needed, including records needed for accounts, insurance or unresolved refunds, incidents or disputes, and dispose of information appropriately when it is no longer needed. The booking provider’s own retention arrangements are separate.
Around 30 days after the experience, we review whether booking emails and paper guest lists still need to be kept; this is not an automatic 30-day deletion deadline. Once parking arrangements are complete and vehicle information is no longer needed, it becomes eligible for deletion. Records needed for accounts, insurance, or unresolved refunds, incidents or disputes are kept separately where necessary. Actual deletion or shredding is subject to the operator’s separate confirmation.
6. Questions and requests
Email info@furusato-labo.com to ask about access, correction or deletion. We verify the requester and identify the booking before responding, and coordinate with the booking provider where necessary. Before booking, you can also request our business address and phone number as explained in the seller information.
7. Optional website analytics
When website analytics is enabled, we ask for your permission before loading Google Analytics 4 or using its analytics cookies. Declining does not prevent you from viewing this website or booking the experience. You can change your choice using “Analytics choices” at the bottom of the page. Your choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Withdrawing permission stops further analytics collection in this browser and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies; it does not automatically erase earlier records.
If you allow analytics, Google receives visit information such as the page viewed, the selected website language, browser/device information and an online identifier stored in cookies. We use aggregated monthly reports of page views, selected website languages, pages, and approximate countries or regions to understand use of this website and report on this project. Google Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses. Reports do not provide your precise location. The shared information pages are written in English even when opened from another website language.
Our analytics implementation removes query-string values other than the fixed website language and page identifiers from the reported page address, and removes query strings from referral information. We do not intentionally send booking names, email addresses, telephone numbers, allergy details, payment details or vehicle details to Google Analytics. Advertising personalization and Google signals are not enabled. Google may process data outside Japan.
